Manikarnika Ghat
This is one of the holiest and oldest ghats where cremations take place.It is believed that if a person is cremated here, they attain moksh.
Kedar Ghat
Named after Lord Shiva (Kedarnath), this ghat is known for its peaceful ambiance.
Tulsi Ghat
Named after the famous saint-poet Tulsidas, it is believed that tulsidas wrote Ramcharitmanas here.
Sarnath
Sarnath is not a ghat it is a important site for piligrims located just outside the Bnaras. It is where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after attaining enlightenment.
